Thank you for your interest in SkyRiver Goldens.  We specilize in field bred Golden Retrievers.  Field Goldens typically have shorter low maintaince coats (sometimes wavy) that range in color from dark golden to deep red.  On occasion our puppies have small white markings. Our dogs tend to be a bit smaller in stature (females 48 to 60 lbs, males 60 to 75lbs).  Our Goldens are atheletic and have natural retriever instints, love the water and are entergetic but not hyper.  About 65% of our dogs go to active family homes vs hunting homes.  As long as your puppy is getting lots of exercise, is taught manners/obedience and included in family activites, they will be happy and good citizens.  Our dogs also excel in a wide realm of venues; Search and Rescue/Avalanche work, Obedience, Rally, Dock Diving, agility, service/thearpy dogs and hunt tests and trails.

What to expect to inquiring or purchasing a SkyRiver Goldens:

  1. EMAIL:   If you have not heard back from us in a couple of days feel free to send a second email.  You are important to us and we are doing our best to reply quickly.  We do answer emails in order so you will not lose your spot in line.
  2. VISITS: We are limiting visits to meet our big dogs or the puppies prior to pickup day at this time.  Please inquire about scheduling.
  3. TRANSPORT: Alaska Airlines continues to be a great resourse to transport puppies when local pickup isn't an option.  We require direct flights, no layovers.
  4. PAPERWORK: We email paperwork in advance and have it printed and ready to sign on pickup day.  If you aren't picking up locally, we can sign electronically.
  5. PICKUP DAY: We schedule pickups in order of deposit.  You will know the day in advnace but we narrow down your time slot as we get closer to the actual pickup date.  If you are not able to pickup your puppy on pickup day, we will help you select virtually.
  6. SICK: Please be respectful, if you or a family member have been sick please speak up, we will make arrangements for you to pick your puppy virtually.

    *ALL our puppies are sold with limited breeding rights and are not guarenteed as breeding stock.  If you are thinking of breeding please inquire further.
